"Metro: Last Light is a sequel to the critically acclaimed survival-horror first-person-shooter Metro: 2033. The game was best known for its atmosphere, story and the dark world of post-apocalyptic Moscow. The sequel continues after the events of the previous title, where Artyom tries to reconcile with his past and find his true fate in this newly released sequel."

From the review: "Metro 2033 was a cult classic; Metro: Last Light is a shining example. Last Light proves that gameplay and story dont have to compromise. They can coalesce to form a compelling narrative set in a rich world, a world that elevates both to equal heights. Metro 2033 was a cult classic; Metro: Last Light is a shining example."

MS:Direct sequel to Metro 2033, inherited the plot and follows the story of Artyom so exquisite: the narrative and the unfolding of events with unexpected twists, surprises and some other decision engages the player from the start. Immersion in the world Last Light is enormous thanks to a brilliant artistic and technical section, detailed and very complete at all levels. In addition, items such as kits, gas masks and their loads or using light help immerse yourself in this post apocalyptic world.

When 4A Games Metro 2033 came out back in early 2010, I was presently surprised. The game achieved a great balancing act of story, gameplay, and presentation. It introduced new gameplay mechanics that I had never seen before in a game (many of which carry over into Last Light), and there were some genuinely tense moments throughout. The game also had an incredible atmosphere to it.

GameDynamo - "Metro: Last Light takes place in the same world of Metro 2033, underneath a post-apocalyptic Moscow. The survivors live in the old metro system, which is filled with plenty of mutants and all sorts of environmental dangers."

Back in the U.S.S.R.

That's it. I promise. There will be no further Russian jokes or puns from here on out; Metro just doesn't support buffoonery at the expense of the motherland. Based on the book by Dmitry Glukhovsky, introduced players to life after the bomb(s) where what remains of mankind survives underground and just can't catch a break. If radiation, horrifying mutants, and general shittiness of life don't bring you down, maybe the communists and nazis can. Hardened men fight in tunnels with hand-crafted firearms among other deadly weaponry, but you might still trip and impale yourself on the wreckage, or at the very least get a nasty bout of tetanus from the fall.
